Linda began working as an Administrator for Debut in September 2011. Her previous jobs spanning 10 years included Office Manager, Secretary and PA.
The knowledge and experience in the subjects of E&D, Safeguarding and H&S within a previous employment position has been invaluable within her role and responsibilities as Centre Manager. Linda primarily delivers information, advice and guidance on course options, funding and bursary assistance to learners as well as overseeing inductions and enrolments.
She attends Careers Events at local Secondary schools where she provides impartial information, guiding year 9 to 13 students on the options of classroom-based courses or apprenticeships. Apart from organising Debut’s own Open Evenings, she works actively to build relationships with outside agencies, schools and colleges to ensure Debut continues to provide information to an ever-widening audience. Her day to day job includes attending meetings, recording minutes, writing, reviewing and updating policies, conducting inductions and enrolments, processing bursary applications, maintaining staff files, DBS applications and creating standardised documentation.
Linda is Debut’s designated Fire Marshal and a First Aider; she has completed Level 2 in E&D, IOSH Level Managing Safely as well as Data Protection and Recruiting Safely training. She has taken over responsibility for the processes associated with the centre’s Matrix interim reviews and formal accreditation audits and has a Level 2 qualification in Information, Advice & Guidance.
Along with other Senior Managers, Linda assists in the vital and continuous reviews associated with the Centre’s Self-Assessment and Quality Improvement Plan.
