The VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Enhancing Eyebrows with Microblading Techniques is designed for learners aged 18+ who want to pursue a career as a microblading technician. This advanced qualification covers health and safety, client care, anatomy, eyebrow shaping, and microblading techniques, giving you the skills and confidence to deliver professional treatments and progress within the beauty industry.
On this course, you’ll gain the knowledge and skills to carry out safe and professional microblading treatments. You’ll cover salon health and safety, client care and consultation, anatomy and physiology for microblading, eyebrow shaping, and the full process of enhancing eyebrows using microblading techniques. You’ll also build confidence through practical case studies, developing the competence needed to work as a qualified microblading technician.
Case studies, Assessment & Assignments
It is recommended that learners have an interest and or additional qualifications in this sphere of beauty treatments. Centres should conduct initial assessments to ensure learners are capable of producing evidence to the required standard.

Course Cost for Level 4 Microblading
- £941 if using government funding (Advanced Learner Loan)
- £941 + VAT (£1,129.20 total) if self-funding
➡️ Please note: Whether you choose to self-fund or apply for government funding, there is an additional payment of £150 required. This covers your external exam and registration fee and is not included in the Advanced Learner Loan.
Course fees are set by HM Government and published by the Education and Skills Funding Agency on the Learning Aims Reference Service (LARS).

To qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan, you must:
- Be aged 19 or over
- Have lived in the UK for at least 3 years
- Be a UK national or have the right to live and work in the UK
