Lucy started her career in the beauty industry nearly 20 years ago! Lucy fell into the beauty industry by chance and she is so grateful for the push her teacher gave her as she can’t imagine doing anything else. Lucy has a variety of experience to share, such as; working in salons, working in spas, being a mobile therapist as well as owning her own salon. Lucy loves the fact she is teaching her passion for beauty to her learners and passing on the encouragement, the skills and knowledge she was given to others and helping them excel in the world of beauty, a bit of pay it forward.

Lucy started her teaching career in London, however when a position became available at Debut Academy she jumped at the chance to work closer to home. Lucy has taught a range of qualifications from traineeships, to advanced learner loans, to study programmes, to apprenticeships at all levels. Lucy really enjoys her salon visits, this is when she goes to the apprentices work place and teaches or assess in salon, meeting the employers and listening to their needs and how to help develop their apprentices to suit their business models.
