Mel Carr

Mel’s career in the beauty industry started when she was just 16 when she completed a 2-year city and guilds level 2 and 3 beauty therapy course at Thurrock College. She then landed her first job working in one of the Charles Worthington salons in London! She then decided to take a leap and work onboard various cruise ships as their facial specialist, where she got to visit some amazing places! Whilst onboard, she was able to learn a lot of customer service skills that shaped her into the beauty therapist she is today.

She has also worked for some worldwide recognised brands, such as the famous Sanctuary Spa in Covent Garden and was an account manager and trainer for Elemis. She then decided to use all her knowledge in the industry to teach others, so completed her level 3 award in education and training in 2021. She joined the Debut team doing work experience in January 2023 and has since completed her level 3 certificate in assessing vocational achievement. Mel is now completing her level 4 certificate in education and training.

Mel has 3 fantastic children who love to keep her busy with all their sports commitments! She also enjoys socialising with friends and going on walks with her little westie man Jasper!
